Woodbridge/Midland

Hi

I just wanted to say thanks for the website. It's really informative and evocative of the fun you can have out with your dog.

We've been in Perth for a year and have really enjoyed doing all your animated walks - we wouldn't have found them without your site.

There is a really nice long riverside dog walk off the Great Eastern Highway in Woodbridge/Midland that your team might like. Lots of open spaces, bridges and lightly wooded areas to sniff. You can start at Ray Marshall Park or Reg Bond Park. There is some development of a cycle track and the walk follows the river for at least 3km (or more if you are zigzagging or snuffling in the undergrowth!). There are vineyards across the river and makes for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon walk. We are so lucky to have rural walks in such a large city!

Carine Open Space and Lake Gwelup

Hi

Great website - thank you so much. My dogs and I tried out Riverside Gardens on the weekend and loved it. Can't wait to try out Whistlepipe Gully but might leave this until winter after we've had some rain. In the meantime, we'll continue to try some of the other walks along the Swan - I have 2 labradors and they love to swim.

Incidently I was speaking to another dog owner whilst at the Riverside Gardens who had also discovered the place through your website.

Other places I suggest you try out are Carine Open Space and Lake Gwelup - both great places where dogs can run around off-leash.

I hope you keep adding more places to it - I'll be keeping an eye out for more interesting places to walk with my dogs. Keep up the good work.

Many thanks
Erna

Parmelia Peace Park

Hi,

I have just been looking at your website and I think there is a good dog park that should be included on your list in Parmelia (Town of Kwinana). It's the Parmelia Peace Park on the corner of Sulphur Rd & Parmelia Ave in Parmelia, it's not a huge area but it is fully enclosed and has a few bits & pieces of agility equipment. They also have a tap for fresh water, but people will need to take their own bowls/buckets to fill up.
I find it really good to let the dog have a great free run, and I know that she is safe in there as she can't get to the roads and she won't hassle anyone else using the park and BBQ area outside the enclosed dog exercise area.

I have to say also, I love your website! It's got some great tips on where to go and what is out there.

Cheers

Yokine Reserve and Whitfords

I have heard that there is good dog beach at Whitfords? I was hoping to find some details on it when I stumbled across your site. Love it! Great work J

Point Peron

Point Peron, Rockingham- good walk around and beach ok- bit small though, but quiet.
Rockingham Beach, north end, lovely dog beach, and horses too- clean, only one possible disaster area- a sewer drain area with one bar missing- so my puppy could go missing! Lol.

Lovely beach though not issues and plenty of space to run etc. Sea water, clean and shallow and mostly calm.

Hillarys Dog and Horse Beach

Hi Neddy and family,

We would like to nominate Hillarys Dog (& Horse) beach. The beach is located North of Hillarys Boat Harbour. It has ample parking including toilets, showers and water taps for the dogs. It is well sign posted. There is a pooch bath facility at the weekends (for a fee). The beach itself, I think is one of the best for dog walkings. A short stroll from the car park brings you to the beach. The beach has lovely white sand, the water has no rock and a shallow incline into the ocean is ideal for our four legged friends.

Hope you will include this and found it helpful.

The site is great - well done and cheers,

Austin, Robert, Tammy and Newman.

G.O.Edwards Park

We use G.O. Edwards Park, in Great Eastern Hwy Burswood (is opposite the casino etc).Only good if you have a dog that will stay reasonably close and won't rush out to the hwy or the lake area (on leash part).
